“Juan Carlos Alom is a Cuban contemporary artist who was born in Havana in 1964. He is best known for his photographic work, which focuses on urban life and popular culture in Cuba.
Alom began his career as a photographer in the 1980s and quickly distinguished himself for his unique approach and ability to capture the complexity and beauty of everyday life in Cuba. His work often presents contrasts between cultural richness and material poverty on the island.
