Xisco Mensua (Spain, 1960) is a Catalan painter who uses time as a space in which to develop a series of interrelated complex concepts and themes. Subjects such as poetry, philosophy, the media, education and childhood, among others, are recurring references in his series of drawings, generally polyptychs, paintings and collages. Among the numerous collective exhibitions of him we can mention: Sense Alibi (Bellesa i Obscenitat), Sala d Exposicions de la Universitat (Valencia, 1990); To the West, Levante Daily Club (Valencia, 1991); The Return of the Cadavre Exquis, The Drawing Center (New York, 1993); Young art in the funds of the Reina Sofía Museum, Wifredo Lam Center (Havana, 1995) among others.
